Penny Antonopoulos
Director

Penny is Director at Vital Health & Wellbeing Centre with over 20 years experience in the health and community sectors. Penny’s background includes senior leadership roles in aged care, mental health and disability services, as well as specialisation in working with culturally and linguistically diverse communities.  Community development has been core to her work, playing a key role in the development of service partnerships and capacity building projects in the south east Sydney region, and program development, implementation and evaluation. Penny provides consultative services to aged care and disability providers as they navigate sectoral reforms, quality, risk and compliance, self-assessment and quality auditing.

Penny is an experienced Group Facilitator, developing and delivering programs on self-care, stress management, building resilience, cultural awareness, depression and other health related topics. Penny has also undertaken qualitative research into mental health, help-seeking behaviours and the experiences of informal family carers, with published works.

Penny is passionate about working with people and supporting them through their diverse journeys. This stems not only from her work experience but also her personal journey and life experience as a carer. Her practice is based on a holistic, person-centred, strengths based approach aimed at empowering people to achieve optimum health, wellbeing and quality of life.
