Dr. Chrissy Antonopoulos
Director - Principal Psychologist

Chrissy is a Registered Psychologist and Board-Approved Supervisor with a PhD in psychology. Chrissy has an interest in working with people with disability, chronic illness, chronic pain, and neurodivergence. She provides support and intervention including for anxiety, depression, trauma, sleep difficulties, emotion dysregulation, life transitions, ADHD strategies, and pain management. Chrissy uses a neurodiversity affirming, trauma-informed, and strengths-based approach to therapy.
Chrissy can provide diagnostic assessments for Autism, ADHD and functional capacity. She can provide reports for NDIS, education support plans, Disability Support Pension (DSP) applications, and medico-legal reports. Chrissy is NSW SIRA registered and can see clients under CTP, Workcover, Medicare, NDIS, EAP, and private clients.
Chrissy uses a variety of evidence-based approaches including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), mindfulness-based therapies, trauma-informed and somatic therapies. Chrissy is also a qualified Yoga Teacher and trained in Trauma Sensitive and Yin Yoga.
Alongside working as a psychologist, Chrissy is an Adjunct Lecturer at Charles Sturt University. Chrissy’s research has been recognised international by the American Psychological Association where she was awarded the Harold Yuker Award for Research Excellence. Chrissy is also a panel member of the government’s National Disability Data Asset where she provides disability-informed ethical oversight. Chrissy’s research can be found here.
Chrissy has lived experience of disability which shapes her therapeutic approach to be inclusive, accessible, affirming, and strengths based.
Chrissy sees clients 16 years and older via telehealth (online and telephone).
